The School of You is a learning center dedicated to all of the elephants walking around our schools and sitting in our classes  — i.e. the most vital subjects that school boards and administrations would never dare consider including as part of the curriculum because they're either too personal, too controversial, too uncomfortable, or too something. They are the very topics that not only consume our daily thoughts and feelings, but are  the ones that will inevitably have the greatest impact on our lives in the long run. We're talking about subjects like:

Direction •  Decision-making •  Competition  •  Speaking Up • Relationships •  Dating •  

Commitment • Marriage • Monogamy  •   Divorce  •  Status  •  Money • Jobs  • Careers  •  Budgeting •  Investing  •  Goals  •   Family  • Parenting

And they're not just the purview of therapists and self-help. These are subjects that can be looked at from historical, cultural, philosophical, psychological and anthropological perspective.  And practically speaking, there are numerous tools and techniques that we can learn to help us become more effective communicators, partners, employees, employers, and financially responsible people. 

Because these subjects have largely been ignored in schools, colleges and universities, not only has the transition into adulthood been unnecessarily overwhelming, most of us have only focused on so many of these areas in our lives during times of crisis.

The School of You endeavors to fill in this gaping hole in traditional education. As a result, our first major offering is The Life Ed Intensive,  a semester-long program for ages 18 - 23 perfect for young adults whether you're taking a gap year, have recently graduated college or are seeking your own path.
